Pixar: 20 Years of Animation

One of the highlights of the 2007 exhibition programme at the National Museum of Scotland is Pixar: 20 Years of Animation.

The exhibition contains hundreds of drawings, pastels, sculptures and traditional and digital paintings from their studios, as well as two amazing audiovisual experiences unique to the exhibition. From rough sketches to finished films, Pixar: 20 Years of Animation takes you behind the scenes to discover the art and techniques that created some of the most popular films ever made.

Parallel to the exhibition the National Museum of Scotland commissioned 55degrees to design and produce a web resource which would attract visitors to the exhibiton, inform them of what was in the exhibition and highlight items from the Museums collection which had a direct realtion to the animation process.

As well as informing potential visitors what is in the exhibition and allowing them to book online the site contains an animated emailable interactive designed by 55degrees and 15 animated films by students of Edinburgh College of Art.

In assoication with the National Museum of Scotalnd 55degrees have programmed a series of Events called Meet the Pros.
