Threshold artspace

This is a more up to date example of our innovation. In partnership with Horsecross 55degrees developed the software that runs the 30 LCD screens, 2 video projectors, 12 audio points and multiple interactive inputs of Threshold artspace at Perth's new concert hall. The software is a flexible framework that allows multiple screens, in any shape or configuration, to be treated as single canvases. At Perth’s artspace it treats 22 screens as a single ribbon canvas called the 'Threshold Wave'. The software is immensely powerful - it allows three content streams with alpha channels to display simultaneously. Behaviours such as opacity, X & Y co-ordinates etc are interactively controllable.

The software has a standalone Authoring Application allowing artists and creatives to Author shows off site. A built in simulator allows the individual to develop multi screen content without requiring access to multiple screens! The Authoring application is very powerful - think of Adobe After Effects. It has a flexible plug-in architecture, which allows potentially any device to interact with the on screen content. We are presently developing a multi camera interactive programme that will allow hot spots to be defined and visitor behaviour within the foyer space to trigger on screen content. The whole system has a calendar scheduler allowing authored shows to be easily programmed according to the Venue's needs.
