DWP's Pension Service is a national organisation that is undergoing a huge transformation programme which will affect the working lives of all of its 10,000 employees. It is vital to the Pension Service that their staff understand the vision for this transformation and so they commissioned 55degrees to create a video resource that they could use to communicate this vision.
The DWP brief required high production values that would give the audience a very realistic picture of how their place of work would look and feel a few years from now. To do this 55degrees created a tour of a 3d virtual pension centre, incorporating real footage of actual pension centre staff doing their jobs in a computer generated office of the future.
Pension service staff were first filmed in a green screen studio. We then placed this footage into the virtual environment.
Staff were first composited into the 3d wireframe model and we then built up layers of detail and rendering. The addition of background people and details help bring the shots to life while the motion graphics help explain some of the processes and job roles.
The final production is engaging and realistic, giving a bright and clear vision of the near future for Pension Service staff.
