Building Schools for the Future (BSF)

How will I learn tomorrow?

Building Schools for the Future (BSF) is the UK Government’s initiative to rebuild or remodel every secondary school in England – some 3,500 in total – over the lifetime of the programme. BSF is the largest and most ambitious scheme of its kind anywhere in the world. It will transform education for some 3.3 million students aged 11-19.

Working with the architectural consultancy DEGW, 55degrees produced a short film to help the pupils, parents, teachers & professionals of Wolverhampton visualise the future of learning through BSF in their City.

The film reveals the research process which underpins Wolverhampton’s BSF programme and visualises scenarios of how pupils may learn in the near future. To achieve this, 55degrees filmed pupils & teachers in a green screen studio and then combined that footage with archive material, motion graphics & 3D models of example school layouts.

"How will I learn tomorrow?" brings Wolverhampton’s Vision for BSF to life and helps assured it is achieved, by offering a compelling articulation of that Vision to consortia bidding for the project contract.
